It’s the weekend…this calls for brunch.
Who doesn’t love brunch. With your lover, girlfriends, family, doesn’t matter really. When I hear brunch I always get excited.
Toronto is serving up some pretty amazing options right now too.
Apart from faves like @cafebouludto and @orettatoronto, I brought hubby to try some other hot spots that did not disappoint!
Wish Restaurant @wishrestaurant located on 3 Charles St. East was a picturesque rustic-modern series of rooms filled with plenty of charm and trendy Torontonians.
The entrance, a tented climatized retreat, adds charm and extra seating- plus wool blankets and extra sheep skin to keep you shielded by our winters. Such a great space. The menu offered so many delicious options, we ordered the Benedict and the Smashed Avocado toast – really good!
Next time I’ll be sure to try the Eggs in Purgatory and Grilled Nutella sandwich.
(mouth watering as I write)
Service and staff were great too, I can’t wait to lunch there next!
We also tried Smith @smith_to just on 553 Church St.
Quaint, hipster setting…my oversized teddy coat almost didn’t make into the dining room. (So typical my hubby would say lol) The old Ontario brownstone facade was perfect and the communal bathroom, extra sweet with farm-like sink and rustic charm.
We ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Croque Monsier. And the DOUGHNUTS. Please try these. Everyone really needs to. They are so delicious, you’ll be talking about them for days!
Staff is laid back but on top of everything, super efficient.I would like to try the Pistachio Waffles and Breakfast Pancakes next time.
Can’t wait to go back.
So bon appétit TO. Please let me know if you go to Wish or Smith. I’d love to hear your feedback.
